There is a covered smoking area, sited away from picnic tables, which contains a wall mounted heater to keep smokers warm in the winter months. There are also a number of bird nesting boxes on the outside walls of the pub, some of which are presently occupied.
For those not so sunny days, there is a games room containing a pool table and darts board. There is a small library, a projector TV and a smaller tv in the bar side and another small tv in the lounge side.
For those who like to mix work with pleasure, or just surf the internet whilst enjoying a refreshing drink, the Turks Head now has free WiFi.
The Turks Head also holds a number of real ale festivals throughout the year.

Not yet used in the Turks Head, this ingenious Beer Delivery System Fills Cups From Bottom Up.
The Bottoms Up beer cup uses a hole in the bottom of the special plastic (unfortunately) drinks container, to deliver precisely the right amount of beer from a special dispenser. Once the cup is full, a magnetic disk closes off the hole and creates a water-tight seal that holds your beer. Pouring beers in this way lets a barperson pour significantly more drinks in the same amount of time and results in a perfect head on every single glass of beer.
