Welcome to Sherdley Park
Sherdley Park, having the largest open areas of all the parks in St.Helens, is the site where St.Helens hosts most of its large outdoor events such as the firework display and the St.Helens show. The St.Helens Show is the largest event held there. The show has been held every summer for a number of years but has now been renamed the St.Helens festival, which is much the same but over a shorter period. The Show is also often called the Sherdley show. LARGE OPEN FIELDS - The reason for the larger outdoor events being situated in sherdley Park is the large open fields. In the area where the main events are held there is a new roadway concourse so that, in the event of damp ground, visitors do not get muddy.
LAKE - A small lake, containing waterfowl and surrounded by a nature trail, is situated very close to the main car park
RUGBY FIELD - There is a full length rugby pitch with posts, freely available for use by anybody, situated near to the main car park.
GOLF COURSE - Sherdley Park golf course is one of the top Pay and Play Golf Courses in the North West. The course measures 5843 yards and is a par 71. It is open daily from sunrise until sunset and refreshements and golf club hire are available. For bookings telephone 01744 813149
Visit Sherdley Park golf club website here. GOLF DRIVING RANGE - As well as the golf course, Sherdley Park has its own 12 bay Golf driving range. The driving Range is open Monday to Friday 9.00am-8.00pm and weekends and bank holidays 9.00am-4.00pm. The range has its own car park and is situated on the Marshalls Cross Road side of Sherdley Park
PETS CORNER - A small zoo mainly for the benefit of children but open to all. Sherdley Park Pets corner was first opened in 1965 and has been run by St Helens Ranger service since 1988. Pets Corner has a variety of birds and small animals such as pigs,donkeys, goats, giant rabbits and Wallabies. 
Staff are available to give guided tours of Pets corner provided at least 14 days notice is given. For more details about tours or pets corner, please phone 01744 815586. Pets corner also has a picknick area with tables and a play area for toddlers.
CHILDRENS PLAY AREA - A fenced off play area with exciting play equipment, including rope slide, climbing frames, slides and roundabouts.
POND - As well as the lake, there is a small pond located in the woods at the centre of the park.
